Ernie's Cottages and Campground is the ultimate northern destination. Easily accessible by paved roads, Ernie's is located a mere 70 miles from Wawa in the tiny hamlet of Missanabie Ontario. We offer the unique experience of a remote wilderness combined with all the comforts of home. There are 11 cabins furnished with everything you need, from beds to pots and pans and untensils to microwave, toaster, fridge, stove and coffeepot. There are also countless campsites, both for tenting and for motor homes, with 30-amp service and water at several sites. Located right on the shore of beautiful Dog Lake, Ernie's Cottages and Campground has everyhing the fishing enthusiast could possibly need. There are boats available to rent, 2 boat launches, gas pumps at the water, ample docking space, a bait shop and fish cleaning facility. There is also a guide service, with the option of travelling to remote lakes. The fishing is outstanding on Dog Lake, and the staff at Ernie's can tell you just where to go to hook the big one!  |

Follow Hwy 17 North from Sault Ste Marie to Wawa. Take Hwy 101 East from Wawa towards Chapleau for 65Km (approx 40 miles) Turn left off 101 onto Hwy 651 for another 54km (approx. 30 miles). this leads you right into Missanabie, and one of the first buildings you'll see on your right is Ernie's Restaurant.
